1.  A home full of real food is not restriction.


It is abundance — just a different kind than your family is used to and different than what our culture has come to accept as “normal”.

A child with unlimited access to food their brain and body were actually designed to run on - real food - is not a deprived child.

They are a nourished one. 

The changes that cause harm are shame, criticism, and hunger. Not easy access to real food.

2.  There is a difference between changing your family’s food environment from fear and changing it from love.

Most of us start from fear. That is normal.

But acting from fear does not help us stay calm, clear, or consistent.

Acting from love does.

When the thought driving your actions is I’m doing this because I truly believe it is best for my child, it lands very differently than when the thought is I have to do this because my child needs to lose weight.

The actions may look similar, serving real food for example, but the experience of taking the actions will feel very different - to you and to your child.

That shift — paying attention to the feeling driving the action — changed everything for me.

It is one of the most important things life coaching taught me that medicine never did.
